Last Days at GW...

Anyone who has hung out with me the past few days has probably been subjected to a "this is the last time we'll do...[insert fun activity here] until next September". For this I'm really sorry, especially if the above statement was accompanied by tears. Therefore, in order to ease my separation anxiety, I'm starting this blog to keep in touch with family and friends around the globe until we are all reunited in a few months.

Preparing for study abroad has been such a whirlwind, and I have been planning on this semester for such a long time (a year and a half) that it is surreal to think that departure is so close. One thing I did not plan on was being so sad about leaving GW. This semester has been the best one yet, and it is hard to imagine not returning to room 204 in the SK house in January. But, meeting new people and exploring new places is one of my favorite things to do in life and I refuse to be sad about getting to live in Buenos Aires for a few months. I'm going to "jump in feet first" as my program director called it, and know that I have amazing friends and wonderful family who are there to support me.

I'm leaving GW tomorrow, and though good bye is very bittersweet I'll be back before I know it. In the meantime, I'm going to read my orientation packet and dream about the Casa Rosada and asados.
